Secured File Transfer to EFAMatchPay
Purpose: To provide a method for securely transferring files between EFA's partners and customers.
Method: EFA has selected FileZilla's FTP client and server solution (http://filezilla-project.org/index.php). The client can easily be downloaded from their website. Installation of the client is easy and free - see installation instructions. Simply following the instructions and default installation selections will install the client on a MS Windows product. Access to EFA's secured FTP site is not limited to FileZilla's client. Any FTP client that allows secured FTP may be used.
Connecting to FTP
Step 1:
In your preferred client (we chose Filezilla - see installation instructions), enter your credentials and connecting port number as seen in Figure 1. Figure 1:

The first time a connection is established, a request to accept a security certificate will appear. Make sure to check the box as shown in Figure 2. Figure 2:
Step 3:
Once a connection has been established, file transfer is as easy as drag and drop. Drag items from the "From EFA" or the "To EFA" folders as required as shown in Figure 3. Figure 3:
Need an FTP client?
We suggest Filezilla. It's a free, easy to use FTP client, and EFA has provided installation instructions for Filezilla here.Download Filezilla from filezilla-project.org
Read the license agreement, then click on the I Agree button.
Choose the components you want to install, then click Next. (The default selections are appropriate for most users.)
- Choose a destination for where you want the program to be installed on your computer, then click Next.
- Select a folder for where you'd like a shortcut to the program to be located under the Start menu, then click Next.
- Choose the security settings for the program, based on how many people have access to your computer, then click Install.
